REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Please read this carefully before purchasing. By completing payment for any CPRC programme, you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

The Short Version. Read this First.

All CPRC programme fees are non-refundable once payment is made. We invest in coaches, planning, and resources from the moment you register - your spot is held for you from that point. In truly exceptional circumstances, CPRC may at its sole discretion consider a refund or transfer on a case-by-case basis. This is not a right - it is a discretionary act of goodwill.

THE GENERAL RULE

No Refunds

Once your payment has been processed, your programme fee is non-refundable. This applies regardless of the reason, including but not limited to: change of mind; personal injury or illness; relocation; work commitments or scheduling conflicts; failure to attend any or all sessions; or dissatisfaction with the programme after sessions have commenced.

The ticket service fee charged by our booking platform (Wix) is non-refundable in all circumstances, including where CPRC does issue a refund. That fee is charged by and retained by the booking platform.

COMMON SCENARIOS

What Happens In Each Situation

NO REFUND

"I've changed my mind and no longer want to do the programme."

​

No refund is available. Your spot was reserved from the moment you paid. You are welcome to gift your spot to a friend - contact us to arrange a name change.

NO REFUND

​

"I'm injured and can't run."

​

No automatic refund. Contact us  if you are injured before Week 1 commences, we will try to transfer you to a future programme. Once the programme has started, no credit is available. We may ask for proof of injury such as a letter from a physio.

NO REFUND

​

"I missed several sessions and feel I didn't get value."

​

No refund. You are purchasing access to the programme - the obligation to attend is yours. Your coach always sends the missed session plan so you can keep up in your own time

POSSIBLE TRANSFER

​

"I have a family emergency and genuinely cannot continue."

​

Contact us at hello@couchpotatorunclub.com before the programme ends. CPRC may, at its discretion, offer a transfer of remaining value to a future programme. Each case is assessed individually.

FULL REFUND

​

"CPRC cancelled the entire programme before it started."

​

Full refund issued (excluding booking platform service fees) or transfer to an equivalent future programme - your choice. CPRC will contact you directly if this occurs.

NO REFUND

​

"My individual session was cancelled due to rain."

​

No refund for individual session cancellations. CPRC will reschedule where possible or provide the session plan so you can complete it independently.

TRANSFERS

Transferring Your Registration

1. Name transfers: You may transfer your registration to another person at no charge, provided you notify us at least 7 days before the first session. The new participant must accept all CPRC Terms and Conditions and the Indemnity Waiver.

2. Programme transfers: CPRC may at its sole discretion allow you to transfer your registration to a future CPRC programme. Requests must be made in writing at least 7 days before your programme's first session. No cash refund will be issued in lieu of a transfer. Transfer credits do not expire but are subject to spot availability.

3. Transfers are not guaranteed. Submitting a transfer request does not guarantee approval. CPRC will respond within 5 business days.

YOUR RIGHTS

Consumer Protection Act

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Where the CPA affords you rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, those rights are preserved. Where a cancellation penalty applies under the CPA, the amount will reflect the reasonable costs already incurred by CPRC as a result of the cancellation.

To request a discretionary refund or transfer

​

Email hello@couchpotatorunclub.com with the subject line "Refund / Transfer Request - [Your Name]". Include your full name, the programme you registered for, the date of your first session, and a brief explanation. We will respond within 5 business days. Submitting a request does not create any entitlement to a refund or transfer.
